The West is Dead: Conservation Meets Classic American Work Wear

In an effort to starve the Plains Indians, the United States government sanctioned the extermination of millions of bison. By 1889, the American Bison population had been decimated, their population falling from over 60 million to 1,091 in less than a century. Today, the west is dead and the wild bison are all but extinct. By purchasing our products you are contributing to the preservation of our remaining Wild West.

The West is Dead garments are inspired by classic American work wear and are focused on raising awareness for the conservation of the remaining American Wild West.

There are so many unique details about these garments that make them special.

Especially notable is the limited run of the Chambray shirts and Henleys due to the vintage dead stock buttons found in a single barrel in the back of an old fabric house.

Another unique detail is the combination of 6 uniquely stamped donut rivets, 4 of which spell out “The West is Dead” around the coin pocket.

The unique factors of these garments are endless.

All garments are handmade in the USA

New Shoes for Young & Trendy from Recent Cal-State Fullerton Grad

TASH Folds by TASH Limited debuts an avant-garde twist on the typical vintage-style ballet flat seen on young Hollywood celebrities and girls across the globe alike. Priced from $20 to $40 per pair, the foldable flats are available in a wide range of colors and textures such as shimmery blush and sienna brown patent leather, and are poised to satisfy the glamour- urban style for on-the-go fashionistas. TASH Folds is set to launch April 1, 2011 and can be found in select major online retailers and stores across the United States.

“The TASH girl is an independent gal – a mover, a shaker and a go-getter who stays on top of the trends. Like myself, most women my age lead active and busy lifestyles,” says TASH Limited CEO and designer Natashia Tomek.

The 25-year- old entrepreneur grew up in a modest Fullerton home and finds inspiration from her circle of friends’ eclectic lives, careers and fashion styles. Staying true to the laid-back glamour of Orange County, Tomek sums up her vision for TASH Folds:

“Having the right shoes to complete my outfits are a must – never forgo comfort for fashion, and vice-versa.”

Tomek began her fashion career at 15 years old, starting as a cashier for Boardwalk Skate Shop and was eventually promoted to Head Buyer of all Boardwalk departments. Tomek left Boardwalk and continued to hone her sensibly chic fashion style at Beach Bums as their lead buyer and designer for the company’s private labels – keeping her hands full while earning her Communications degree at Cal State Fullerton. TASH Limited was formed in 2010.
